Sri Bal Ganpati Vilas Jamshedpur elects new executive committee

Jamshedpur, July 12: The 106th Annual General Body Meeting of Sri Bal Ganpati Vilas, Kadma, was held on Sunday evening at the institution’s premises, marking another milestone in its 107-year legacy.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by senior office-bearers, advisors and committee members, followed by a collective recitation of Shri Ganesh Vandana. Members also observed a two-minute silence in memory of members who passed away during the 2025–26 session.

Addressing the gathering, president Y.K. Sharma highlighted the institution’s achievements over the past year and outlined its future plans. The proceedings of the 105th Annual General Meeting were formally ratified.

General secretary P. Krishna Rao presented the annual secretarial report, detailing the organization’s social service initiatives, educational activities and cultural programmes. Treasurer K. Naresh Kumar presented the audited financial statements of Sri Bal Ganpati Vilas, the Civic Association and BGV English School for the financial year 2025–26, which were unanimously approved by the members.

The society’s auditors, B.K. Murthy and P. Giridhar Rao, presented the audit report, appreciating the transparency of the institution’s financial management while offering suggestions for further improvement.

During the meeting, a new executive committee for the 2026–27 session was constituted, with all office-bearers elected unanimously. Members also shared suggestions for the organization’s future activities, which were taken into consideration by the general secretary.

The proceedings were conducted by B. Vijay Kumar, while Advisor B. Anand Rao proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the meeting to a close.
