Jamshedpur: The annual sports day of Govind Vidyalaya was held at Tamulia on Friday. The chief guest of the event was Dilip Goel while the special guest was Mahesh Agrawal. They fired a torch and released a bunch of balloons to declare the event open. After flag hoisting, the students presented an impressive marchpast. A drill was also performed by junior students.
The programme was conducted by teachers Naushad Rajia and Debjani Banerjee and students Raviraj and Sanjana. The sports teachers Gokulnand Mishra and Mohammad Jamshed supervised the sports events. Lotus House emerged overall winner while Rose House was declared the runner up. Nishu Kumari of class XII was adjudged the best player.
Among others present on the occasion included school MD Dr BD Sharma, principal Dr Sunita Sinha, administrator Krishna Modak, vice principal Arvind Chakravarty, junior coordinator Rita Choudhary and PRO Rajesh Sharma.
