Jamshedpur, June 4: A 10-day special training camp for 40 selected players in the sub-junior boys and girls categories concluded successfully on Wednesday evening at the Telco Nepal Building Ground in Jamshedpur. Organized by the East Singhbhum District Kho-Kho Association, the camp aimed to prepare teams for the upcoming 19th State Level Sub-Junior Kho-Kho Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Hazaribagh from June 6 to 8.
Based on the players’ performance during the camp, two 15-member teams have been finalized to represent East Singhbhum in the state-level championship. The teams will depart from Mango Bus Stand, Jamshedpur, on June 5, 2025, by road.
The boys’ team includes Sunny Kumar, Naitik Suman, Siddharth Kumar, Ankush Kumar Chaudhary, Akash Raj, Krishna Mishra, Arnav Kumar, Bhuvan Das, Piyush Kumar Gupta, Abhishek Kumar, Lubin Hansda, Dharmendra Soren, Rudra Singh, Sachin Behera, and Sushant Kumar. The team will be coached by Sonu Kumar.
The girls’ team comprises Vijay Pandey, Asha Kumari, Roshni Tiwari, Radha Kumari, Nidhi Goswami, Srishti Singh, Sandhya Jha, Aradhya Srivastava, Ayushi Kumari, Neha Majhi, Aditi Kumari, Sandhya Srivastava, Riya Bahadur Shahi, Urmila Lohar, and Mahima Murmu. Asha Kumari will serve as the girls’ coach.
Srikant has been appointed as the manager for both teams. During the closing ceremony, Treasurer Shyam Sharma and other officials conveyed their best wishes and encouraged the players to perform their best in the upcoming championship.
