Jamshedpur: A special seminar aimed at promoting reading habits among young children and enhancing their reading skills was organized on Monday at St. John’s High School, Jugsalai. The event, titled Future Ready Youngsters, was designed to equip mothers of pre-primary students with effective methods to encourage reading at home.
School Principal Ashu Tiwary emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation in reading during early childhood, as it plays a crucial role in a child’s overall academic development. Through interactive sessions, she highlighted the significance of storytelling, phonetics, and engaging reading activities.
She stressed that mothers can strengthen their children’s language and reading abilities by creating a reading-friendly environment at home, fostering curiosity, and making reading a joyful daily habit.
