Jamshedpur: After experiencing a downward trend for the past three days, Jharkhand is set to witness a gradual rise in minimum temperature starting tomorrow. The Indian Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre has predicted a 3-4°C increase in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours, followed by stability with no significant changes for the subsequent two days.
The weather forecast indicates misty conditions in the morning, giving way to mainly clear skies in the next two to three days. No major synoptic features are currently influencing Jharkhand’s weather patterns.
A Western Disturbance has transformed into a cyclonic circulation over North Afghanistan, hovering between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level. This system is expected to obstruct the free flow of north-westerly winds, contributing to the predicted temperature rise.
Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius today, while Jamshedpur reported 10.4 degrees and Daltonganj 9.5 degrees. Bokaro also registered a minimum temperature of 9.5 degrees Celsius. Chatra recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 7.2 degrees Celsius.
The gradual increase in minimum temperatures is expected to bring slight relief from the ongoing cold spell, although early morning mist may continue for the next few days.
