Jamshedpur, Apr 17: A special Covid task force would be constituted by Indian Medical Association Jamshedpur chapter following the suggestion of orthopadic Dr Saurabh Choudhary specifically for treatment of doctors who get affected by Covid-19 while treating patients.
The task force would comprise seven-eight doctors especially to treat doctors infected with Covid . The move comes after several doctors who are termed as frontline workers got infected with Covid and died due to lack of proper treatment and availability of oxygen.
The task force is necessary as Covid cases are increasing with each passing day increasing threat perspective to doctors.
According to Dr Saurabh Choudhary the service would start very soon and would provide right from beds to the infected doctor to medicines, plasma, oxygen, ambulance and other necessary requirements.
There is also a proposal to open a Covid care center exclusively for doctors where they can get admitted after facing problems of bed in other hospitals.
