Special Assembly marks Vivekananda Jayanti at DBMS College

Jamshedpur: A special assembly was organised at D.B.M.S. College of Education on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, highlighting the teachings and ideals of the great spiritual leader and youth icon. The programme was jointly organised by NSS Unit 1 and the Social Science Club.

Students of the B.Ed. first semester actively participated in the assembly and presented thoughtful speeches on Swami Vivekananda’s life, philosophy, teachings and vision for the youth. Through their presentations, the students emphasised values such as self-confidence, moral strength, discipline and service to society, inspiring the audience to follow Swamiji’s ideals.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Joohi Samarpita urged students to imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s principles in their daily lives and strive for personal and social development. Vice-Principal Dr Monika Uppal, in her address, said that a strong and ethical society can be built only by following the path shown by Swami Vivekananda.

The successful organisation of the programme was supported by Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan and Joint Secretary Sudha Dileep, who played an active role in coordinating the event.

A large number of teachers, non-teaching staff and students were present at the assembly. The programme concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message in today’s society.
