Jamshedpur, Jan 17: Sparkle Squad’s 6–0 demolition of Sunshine Morning Star headlined a high-scoring and action-packed matchday in the Girls’ Category of the Jamshedpur Super League, as multiple teams impressed with dominant performances and tight contests alike.
Unstoppable FC White were among the standout sides, registering a 5–0 win over R.K.M. English School before edging Empowerhers 2–1 and later overpowering Kishor Sangh Kadma 4–1. Lady Eagles also enjoyed a strong run, defeating Tata Power Alig (A) 1–1 in a draw before going on to beat Trouble Marker 2–0 and later thrashing Junior Girls Raidih 4–0. Sparkle Squad showcased their attacking depth with big wins over Kishor Sangh Kadma (4–0), Tata Power Alig (B) (6–0) and R.K.M. English School (5–0).
There were several closely fought encounters as well, highlighting the growing competitiveness of the league. R.K.M. English School were involved in multiple draws, including a goalless match against A.K.S.A.M Rahergora and a 2–2 result with Junior Girls Raidih. Tata Power Alig (A) drew 1–1 with both Lady Eagles and Unstoppable FC White, while Empowerhers shared points with Sparkle Squad (1–1) and R.K.M. English School (1–1). Morning Star and Tata Power Alig (A) also played out a 2–2 draw in an evenly matched contest.
The day also saw emphatic wins from Trouble Marker, who defeated The Royal FC 5–0 and Sunshine Morning Star 6–0, while Sunshine Morning Star bounced back with a 3–0 victory over The Royal FC. A.K.S.A.M Rahergora claimed a narrow 1–0 win over Empowerhers, underlining the fine margins in several fixtures.
The Girls’ Division continues to underline the inclusive and competitive spirit of the Jamshedpur Super League, which has emerged as a key platform for young players to gain regular match exposure and build confidence through structured competition.
The Jamshedpur Super League will continue on Saturday, with other category matches scheduled to be played at the JRD Turf Ground.
