3^rd Sukumar Pani Volleyball tourney gets underway

Jamshedpur, Feb 16: The 3^rd Sukumar Pani Memorial Volleyball Tournament was inaugurated by the former and first Health Minister of Jharkhand Dr Dinesh Kumar Sarangi at Matihana B Ed College ground today. This annual event that evokes tremendous response from players and the game�s followers at Baharagora and nearby areas is organized by Matihana Panchayat Volleyball Committee in memory of late Sukumar Pani. Dr Sarangi inaugurated the event by cutting a tape and garlanding a portrait of Sukumar Pani.

Speaking on the occasion, former Health Minister of Jharkhand, Dr Dinesh Kumar Sarangi observed, �Organizing such tournaments is indeed laudable and I thank the organizers for this endeavor. The youth should spare some time from their studies and devote to sports which ensures a healthy mind and healthy body.�

Among those present at the inauguration were Rahul Bajpayee, Buddhadev Sahu, Dev Kumar Paira, Sishir Mahto, Hukum Mahto, Ronny Maheshwari and the organizing committee members.
