Jamshedpur, Feb 16: Durg-Rajendranagar South Bihar Express, Puri-Rishikesh Kalinga Utkal Express and Howrah-Ahmedabad Express will soon get stoppage at Bamra and Bagdih railway stations. Railway has given approval to a proposal in this regard following the demand of local residents. An order in this regard has reached the Divisional Railway office, sources said.
Sources said the three trains would stop at these stations on a trial basis for next six months. Local residents had gone on massive protest in support of their demand for a stoppage of Express trains at Bamra and Bagdih. They also resorted to ‘Rail Chakka Jam’ to mount pressure on the Railway Ministry. After two decades, their demand has been fulfilled, sources said. (w-at)
