Jamshedpur, September 11: Jamshedpur FC midfielder Sourav Das encouraged the students of KMPM Vocational College to rally behind the Men of Steel for their first home match against Mumbai FC at the JRD Sports Complex on September 21st at 5 PM.
“Your support is our energy. We perform better when you fill the stands and cheer for us. Your voice drives us forward and motivates us to play our best. We are representing this beautiful city, and it would mean everything to have the entire community behind us,” Sourav said during an interactive session with the students.
A product of the prestigious Tata Football Academy, Sourav officially launched the ticket sales for the match, impressing the students with his juggling skills. He also posed selfies and signed autographs with the students.
During the session, students eagerly quizzed him about his football journey and what it feels like to be a professional footballer. “Tata Football Academy changed my life. Before joining TFA, my parents weren’t fully supportive of football as a career, but once I got in, they realized I could turn professional,” he shared.
“If you have the desire and passion, you can become a player at any time. However, patience and hard work are crucial. Our lives aren’t as easy as they might seem—we put in a lot of effort, and sometimes things don’t go as planned. But persistence and aiming high are key,” he advised the students.
Sourav also unveiled the tickets for the match and urged everyone to purchase them online via https://ticketgenie.in/. As a token of appreciation, Sourav Das presented a Jamshedpur FC scarf to the Principal Meeta Jakhanwal.
