Soumitra Majumdar appointed Additional General Manager of South Eastern Railway

Jamshedpur: Soumitra Majumdar has assumed the role of Additional General Manager at South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata, effective Sep 10. Prior to this appointment, Majumdar served as the Principal Chief Commercial Manager of Eastern Railway. An Indian Railways Traffic Service officer from the 1989 batch, Majumdar has held various key positions, including Chief Public Relations Officer at both Eastern and South Eastern Railways, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, and Chief Traffic Planning Manager at South Eastern Railway.

With extensive experience in railway operations, commercial matters, and public relations, Majumdar brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He is also known for his interests in sports, music, travel, and social welfare activities.
