Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Zoological Park is set to introduce an online ticketing system, along with a new website expected to launch in the next two months.
Dr. Naim Akhtar, the zoo’s Deputy Director, said, “We are excited about these developments, which will make visiting the zoo more convenient and enjoyable for everyone.”
The announcement comes amid the zoo’s comprehensive restructuring, guided by an updated master plan approved by the central zoo authority. The changes will include larger enclosures for herbivores, crocodiles, gharials, hyenas and leopards.
Naim also mentioned that the zoo now has a modern animal hospital equipped with facilities for post-mortem examinations and incineration. In addition, a butterfly park has also been built as part of the ongoing improvements.
