Sonari wins Inter Centre Dance Competition

Jamshedpur, August 21: Urban Services Department, Tata Steel organised an annual mega event ‘Inter Centre Dance Competition” at Rabindra Bhawan, Sakchi on Saturday. The event showcased dance performances, themed on bollywood songs (a fusion of Black & White and Colorful era of Indian Cinema).

A total of 12 teams from Jamshedpur namely Sonari, Baridih, Kasidih, Namda, Bhalubasa, Dhatkidih, Kitadih, Adityapur, Tuiladungri, Bagbera, Sitaramdera & R.D. Bhatta participated in the event.

Each team consisted of 10-12 girls who were part of group performance. After rounds of intense battle Sonari Centre tea was crowned the winner of the competition. R D Bhatta Centre team was the first runner up while Namda Centre team had to consolidate with second runner-up position.

R Ravi Prasad, President, Tata Workers Union and Chief Guest of the event highlighted the relevance of music and dance in enriching people lives. Tata Steel will continue to facilitate such events and competitions for overall development of society.

The best teams for the mega event were shortlisted from community centre level rounds. The programme was attended by Senior Management of Tata Steel, Government officials and community at large.
