Sohrai Parv symbol of Jharkhand’s culture: Ram Hansda

Gamharia, Oct 27: Sohrai Parv was celebrated with fervour in the different parts of Gamharia block on Thursday. Adivasi community members wore traditional attire and danced to the beat of mandar. A programme was organized in Raipur village of Kandra. The chief guest of the occasion was Ram Hansda, JMM district vice president and vice president of Gamharia Twenty Point Committeee. He said Sohrai Parv was a symbol of Jharkhand’s rich traditions and culture. He said the festival established a close link among cow, ox, buffalo and human beings. Animals are worshipped during Sohrai Parv, he said.
