Jamshedpur, April 9: A delegation of the Janata Dal (United), acting on the instructions of Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, met the Senior Superintendent of Police to demand the immediate arrest of those responsible for a shocking incident in which a woman was attacked with hot tea near the Tata Football Academy.
Describing the act as deeply disturbing, the delegation stressed that such incidents not only raise serious concerns about law and order but also pose a significant threat to the safety of citizens, particularly women.
They urged the administration to ensure prompt and stringent action so as to instill fear of law among offenders and prevent any recurrence of such crimes.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited Tata Main Hospital to check on the victim’s condition and extended full support to her family. They also conveyed that Saryu Roy is currently out of the city but will meet the victim’s family upon his return.
The delegation included Subodh Srivastava, Ajay Kumar, Neeraj Singh, Dinesh Singh, Vinod Singh, Suraj Yadav, Chunnu Bhumij, and Atul Singh.
