Smijoy of Carmel Junior College wins ASISC Senior Declamation Contest

Jamshedpur, Aug 11: Smijoy Sarkar from Carmel Junior College was declared the winner of the ASISC Senior Declamation Contest hosted by Tarapore School on Wednesday.

Rohit Verma of Little Flower School bagged the first runner up position while Nandini Dhar from Hill Top School was adjudged the second runner up.

Sixteen CISCE schools of Jamshedpur zone participated in the event.

The audience applauded all the speakers who spoke eloquently with poise and confidence. All the speakers were judged on clarity, pronunciation, intonation, poise 
fluency and overall impact.

The contest was judged by Dr Neha Tiwary, HOD, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Karim City College.

The second judge for the event was Mitali Chopra a Certified International Etiquette and Protocol Consultant. 

The third judge was Sheila Sairam, an alumnus of Sacred Heart Convent.  She has worked as a senior English teacher in Church School Beldih and Carmel Junior college.
