Slow progress in voter’s list survey work irks Jamshedpur DDC

Jamshedpur, July 28: East Singhbhum deputy development commissioner (DDC) Manish Kumar on Friday reviewed the progress made so far in the special revision program of voter list being run in the district.

During this, he expressed displeasure over the lack of expected progress in door-to-door survey work, especially in urban areas. He instructed all BLOs, Supervisors, ERA, AERO that negligence in work will not be tolerated. Everyone’s accountability will be fixed. Some AEROs complained about the absence of teachers and Sahiyas deputed as BLOs, which hampered the revision programme.

The Deputy Development Commissioner said that the deputed PLOs should appear in the field by July 30.

Senior officers of the district will do surprise inspection during door-to-door survey work, if no BLO, BLO supervisor is found in the field, then in view of the negligence in the responsibilities of the election work, legal action will be recommended.

The special revision campaign of voter lists started from July 21 and will continue till August 21.

During this, the name of any eligible voter has to be registered in the voter list. Along with this, after identifying the dead or transferred voters, they were asked to collect the application in the prescribed form.
