Mangal Kalindi submits memorandum to CM demanding Santali as medium of teaching in Jharkhand schools

Jamshedpur, July 28: MLA from Jugsalai assembly constituency Mangal Kalindi met Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi on Friday. During this, he handed over a memorandum to the Chief Minister on behalf of Olchiki Hul Baisi and Majhi Pargana Mahal, Asanbani Torof Ghad Dishom.

In which, under the New Education Policy 2020, there is a demand for printing of text books in Santali language (Olchiki script) for teaching in mother tongue at the primary level, reinstatement of teachers of the said language, and setting up of Santhali Academy.

The MLA also supported the demands of the above organizations. MLA Mangal Kalindi said that a demand letter was handed over to him by Olchiki Hul Baisi, Jharkhand and Majhi Pargana Mahal Asanbani Toraf-Ghad Dishome.

In the same light today there was a positive discussion with the Chief Minister on this issue.
