Jamshedpur, Oct. 3: Swavalambi Jharkhand Micro Welfare Development Centre (SJMDC), a unit of Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development (CBMD) on Monday organised loan distribution function at their office in Bistupur.
Micro-loans were distributed among new and old women members of Sonari, Bistupur, Jugsalai and Kasidih. Guest for the occasion was social worker Chartered Accountant Anand Agarwal handed over the micro-loans to the women.
Addressing the gathering, Agarwal said, SJMDC has a very positive approach which would help in empower women and will partner in meeting the financial needs of their families.
Chairman of SJMDC, Murlidhar Kedia, said the micro-loans to the women members would help save them from getting trapped in clutches of the tradesman.
As earlier these women took loans at huge interest rates which instead of improving their financial condition it got worst, said Kedia, adding, till date we have provided micro-loans to 1600 women. Director of SJMDC Ashok Goyal and Bandi Shankar Singh also expressed their thoughts.
The programme was hosted by district convener of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Amit Mishra while joint convener Rajkumar Shah extended the vote of thanks. On the occasion JKM Raju, Subodh Srivastava, Anil Rai, Reeta Lal, Mamta Singh, Abhay Singh, Bijay Singh Goutam, Rameshwar Prasad, Kaushal Kishore, Bijay Singh, Mukesh Kumar and others were present.
