Law should be respected and abided by everyone: CM

Ranchi, Oct. 3: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that law should be abided and respected by one and all.

People, whether common or influential, are treated equally by the law and nobody will be allowed to play with it. Appealing to the misguided youths, he said that they should come into the mainstream and be a positive force in the development of the state.

Das said the government will take strict action against those out to challenge the democratic set up. He was speaking during the Sarswati Scholarship programme 2016 conducted at Aryabhatt Conference Hall by IPSOVA.

He said that the security forces protect us and the government stood with the soldiers and their families. We should respect our forces and take care of their families, he said.

Das said that Indian people have always attached great importance to women power. Navratri is a testimony of the significance given to women in the Indian society, he said.

Praising the women members of IPSOVA, the CM said that they were doing commendable work. Giving scholarship to meritorious students, funds to family members of the martyrs and showing sympathy to the physically challenged children of police are praiseworthy steps. We should be sensitive about it, he said.

The CM said that police personnel are and should be honored for their work. Girls should be educated and encouraged to utilize their skills.

During the US visit, MoU has been signed with three big technical companies which will train students in productive courses, he said.
