Six children get Black Belt at Jharkhand Martial Arts Training Center

Jamshedpur, June 26: The Jharkhand Martial Arts Training Center at Telco Recreation Club proudly celebrated the success of six children who passed their black belt examination under the guidance of Coach Sunil Prasad. The momentous occasion was honored by the presence of retired DIG Rajeev Ranjan and Dinesh Kumar, former district president of BJP and chairman of the organization.

During the ceremony, the children were felicitated with mementos, certificates, black belts, and organization-prepared certificates, among other accolades. Shivani Ray, Shruti Das, Rudransh Jaiswal, Harshita, M. Vanishree, and Ashita Chowdhary expressed their gratitude towards Coach Sunil Prasad and the organization for helping them attain their black belts.

Addressing the gathering, Rajeev Ranjan emphasized the importance of sports, particularly those related to self-defense, in the early lives of children. He highlighted that children are the future builders of the country and must pursue sports alongside education. Taekwondo and Karate, he noted, are particularly beneficial for girls, promoting both physical fitness and personal safety.

Dinesh Kumar, in his statement, highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts to make children physically and mentally strong. He emphasized the importance of sports in relieving the pressure of education and commended the role of martial arts in achieving this goal.

The program was graced by special guests, including Amarjeet Singh Raja, former district president of BJYM, Dr. Sanjay Giri, president of the organization, Ravi Shankar, social workers Balwinder Singh Kalsi and Goldie Singh. They offered words of encouragement to the children and expressed their support for the development of martial arts in the state. In fulfilling its social responsibility, the organization also provided a wheelchair to a disabled child living near Ghorabandha Sai Temple, who is unable to walk. The program, conducted by Jaideep Mukherjee, was a testament to the collective efforts of Sunil Prasad, the coach, and secretary of the organization, along with significant contributions from Shrikant Baske, Shilpi Das, Mandi Hembram, Akash, Aman, Jhuma Roy, Adarsh, and others
