Ranchi: The Chief Electoral Officer announced on Thursday that mapping has been completed for 82.11% of the total voters (2,17,27,827 voters) using the electoral roll from the previous Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
However, 17.89% of voters (47,35,409 voters) remain unmapped. The CEO has shared this unmapped list with all recognized political parties and the general public on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer at ceo.jharkhand.gov.in.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand K. Ravi Kumar stated that the process of filling out voter enumeration forms in the state is underway. The Booth Level Officers (BLOs), along with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by recognized political parties, have reached out to approximately 66.25% of the total voters—accounting for 1,75,31,915 citizens—within the first 10 days of the Special Intensive Revision, distributing enumeration forms through door-to-door visits to eligible Indian citizens.
He emphasized that the electoral roll of the previous SIR is being treated as a “Superior Document.” Consequently, voters whose details match and map with the previous SIR will not have to submit any other supporting documents. Kumar urged citizens to fill out the enumeration forms and return them to the BLOs as soon as they visit their homes to expedite the digitization process.
