Jamshedpur, March 23: Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda praised Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for his efforts to improve road network in Jharkhand and other parts of the country. She said she had met him after which he had given approval to six road over bridge (ROB) projects. She said two ROB projects were still pending. She demanded that the ROB projects of Jamda and Manoharpur should be approved. She also demanded that a heavy vehicle training centre be opened in Kolhan.
Earlier, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of what is being touted as the country’s longest double decker flyover in the city here on Thursday. The proposed flyover would connect Pardih to Baliguma. The project worth Rs 1,876 crore is going to be the first such facility in the country. The foundation stone was laid at a grand programme organized at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
