Jamshedpur, March 23: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato Thursday said the double decker elevated corridor in Jamshedpur will be built by keeping in mind the dense population of the next 50 years. He said the people of Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha would be greatly benefitted by the flyover. He said the four-lane elevated corrirdor would be built from Kali Mandir (Asanbani) to Baliguma via Dimna Chowk at the expense of Rs 1876 crore. He said Gadkari had won the hearts of the people of Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha by fulfilling their demands.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of what is being touted as the country’s longest double decker flyover in the city here on Thursday. The proposed flyover would connect Pardih to Baliguma. The project worth Rs 1,876 crore is going to be the first such facility in the country. The foundation stone was laid at a grand programme organized at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
