Noamundi, April 13: Singhbhum MP Laxaman Gilua held a meeting with the villagers of Maudi at Torotopo Village ground on Monday hearing the issues pertaining to their livelihood due to the closure of Noamundi Railway Bokaro siding since the last five years.
The villagers expressed their hunger and sufferings that they are now unable manage even one square meal a day. It has been reported that around one thousand villagers face unemployment problem in the region and many have left the village for earn a livelihood.
After hearing the difficulties of the villagers, MP said, �I have discussed the matter with the chief Minister Raghubar Das in this regard were he has taken up appropriate steps through Deputy Commissioner and District Mining Office and they are likely to submit the report by April 15.
Gilua assured that the Bokaro Siding will restarted soon and the villagers whose land has been acquired by the plants and Mining owners and they have been deprived of the compensation the government will ensure that they must be given compensation.
On the occasion Ananda Singh, Rajeswar Pradhan Sukhdev Nayak along with number of villagers was present.
