Jamshedpur: The 74th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 9:30 am at Chamber Bhawan. The decision was taken unanimously in the 15th working committee meeting of the 2023–25 session. This was informed by Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia.
Kedia said that elections will be conducted for one trustee (vacant post), 11 office bearers, and 30 working committee members. The committee finalized the program schedule, along with the appointment of election officers and scrutinizers.
The process for the election will begin with the availability of nomination forms from August 28, 2025, at Chamber Bhawan. The filing of nominations will take place on August 30 and 31, from 11 am to 7 pm.
Scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for September 2 at 7 pm, followed by the publication of the list of qualified candidates the same evening by 9 pm. The last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed for September 3 by 7 pm, with the final list of candidates to be released at 9 pm on the same day.
Remote e-voting will be open from September 10 (10 am) to September 12 (5 pm), allowing members to cast their votes online. On the day of the AGM, September 13, voting at the Chamber Bhawan will take place from 11:30 am to 5 pm, if required. The Election Officer and Scrutinizers will be authorized to extend the time if necessary.
The election process will be overseen by Election Officers: R.K. Jhunjhunwala, P.S. Sen, Advocate, S.N. Khandelwal, Advocate, Rajesh Mittal, Advocate
The scrutiny will be carried out by Scrutinizers: CA P.N. Shangari and CS Sheetal Swain.
Kedia further emphasized that the Chamber is committed to conducting the AGM and elections in a transparent and organized manner, ensuring smooth participation of all members.
