Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry holds 71st AGM at Chamber Bhavan, recounts its achievements

Jamshedpur, Sep 27: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized its 71^st annual general meeting (AGM) at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur, on Tuesday. The annual report was presented by the honorary secretary Manav Kedia. A welcome speech was given by the Chamber president Vijay Anand Moonka. He welcomed all former presidents of the organization and recounted the achievements of 2021-2023. He said the Chamber had organized 100 programmes during the tenure and thanked all office-bearers, members and patrons for making it possible.

He said the Chamber had raised many relevant issues pertaining to the development of trade and commerce and resolution of various issues affecting the business environment. He said the Chamber had raised the issue of 2 per cent market tax, Sairat Bazar tax, barricading at Sakchi Market, spurt in loot crimes in city and various other social issues. He also thanked local ministers, MLAs, government officials, administration and mediapersons for their support and cooperation.

The AGM was conducted by Manav Kedia who threw light on the various activities undertaken by the Chamber in the last one year. The proposals of vice presidents of our sub-committees of the Chamber were also presented and passed today. Treasurer Kishore Golchha presented the annual accounts. E-voting was arranged during the AGM. CA Jagdish Khandelwal was deputed as scrutinizer. The AGM was also addressed by former presidents Muralidhar Kedia, GR Golchha, Suresh Sonthalia and Ashok Bhalotia.
