Jamshedpur, March 11: Governor Droupadi Murmu on Sunday addressed industrialists and traders at a function organised by Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at Chamber Bhawan in Bistupur. He interacted with businessmen and traders and discussed their problems. Members of SCCI also presented her a memorandum demanding better infrastructure, higher education, better connectivity through airways and roadways and industrialisation.
The governor has assured that she will forward the message to the government ensuring infrastructure for development.
“I promise to put forward the demand to the government but at the same time I would request traders and businessman to take social responsibility within their vicinity where they can adopt villages or organise skill development for the needy to earn a livelihood. They need to under their corporate social responsibility,” said the governor.
Members of SCCI accorded grand welcome to Governor. “We are concerned about the lack of better infrastructure. There are no good colleges and universities. Better air connectivity has been a demand which is not yet been fulfilled. Also we have requested her if she can talk to the government and promote industrialisation for betterment of people,” said president of SCCI Ashok Bhalotia.
