Jamshedpur, July 11: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Vijay Anand Moonka has written to Union Minister for Road and Transport, Nitin Gadkari, demanding barricading of all national highways across the country.
In the letter, Moonka said the barricading would prevent road accidents caused by stray cattle and other animals crossing the national highways. “It is often seen that major and fatal road accidents are caused by stray animals coming in the way of vehicles on the highways. This not only causes loss of lives but also results in loss of property and revenue. Both people and the government may benefit if the barricading is done on a priority basis,” he said.
