‘Sparsh’ to celebrate talent of special children at XLRI on Sept 21

Jamshedpur, Sept 12: In a unique and inspiring initiative, Nishan Seva Trust, Jaiswal Samaj, Hindu Peeth, Giants Group and IFRM 3250 are jointly organizing “Sparsh”, a cultural programme for specially-abled children. The event will be held on September 21 at XLRI auditorium.

For the first time in Jharkhand, children with physical and mental disabilities from various special schools of Jamshedpur will come together on one stage to showcase their skills in dance, singing, and acting. Their teachers and parents have been working tirelessly to prepare them for this event, which aims to spread awareness and inspire society.

Highlighting the significance of the programme, K. Nishan, one of the organizers, said during a press conference at Tulsi Bhawan on Friday, “Sparsh is not just a cultural evening, but a celebration of courage, hope and talent. These children deserve equal opportunities to shine. We want to create an environment where they and their families feel motivated to dream big and move forward in life.”

The event will also feature celebrity performances. Singer Diwakar Sharma, who lost his eyesight but rose to fame through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Rising Star as the first runner-up, will perform live. Popular comedian Jay Chhaniyara, who has been part of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, will also entertain the audience.

To encourage participation, trophies and certificates will be presented to all children. Entry will be strictly by pass, but passes are free of cost. Organizers have appealed to citizens, institutions and social groups of Jamshedpur to extend full support.

“Let us join hands to bring smiles to these children’s faces and make Sparsh a grand success,” Nishan added.

To make this program successful, K. Nishan, Gyaan Chandra Jaiswal, Arun Singh, Sukanya Das, Diljoy Bose, Arun Bakrewal, Indrajeet Singh, Simran Bhatia, Avinash, Subhanahu, Asha, Satyajeet, Sandeep, Ajit Raj, and others are putting in their wholehearted efforts.
