Sikh Youth Brigade to organize �Khushbu-e-Punjab� on April 21 in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The Sikh Youth Brigade (SYB) as a part of the Baisakhi celebrations will organize a talent hunt contest, �Khushbu-e-Punjab� on April 21 at Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi. Students of schools managed by the Sikh community will participate in Bhangra, Gidda, solo dance, songs and recitation contests. Winners will receive cash awards so that they can utilize the money for their education purposes. The winners in the various performance groups will be awarded Rs 11,000, the second prize will be of Rs 7,100 while the third prize winner would receive Rs 5,100. There would be other attractive gifts also to enthuse students.

The SYB team of executives informed the media that the semifinals would be held at the Khalsa Club in Bistupur on April 16 from 10 am and the final will be staged at Rabindra Bhawan on April 21 from 6 pm. There would be no entry fee but entry passes would be required. These passes would be available with SYB members on April 18.

Competitions in Dastar Bandi, Ramp Walk, singing will also be organized for children of the Sikh community. Two teams have been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the programs. The senior team would include Palvinder Singh Sohal, Gurdayal Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Amarjit Singh Raja, Gurcharan Singh and Gursharan Singh while the second would comprise all the other members of the SYB.
