Sidhi Baat: CM asks Dhanbad SP to crack Ashish murder case in a week

Ranchi: While listening to the complaints of visitors during Sidhi- Baat program here on Tuesday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed the Dhanbad SP to get the murderers of Ashish nabbed in a week and suspend the officer-in-charge if he fails to do so within the deadline.

The CM reviewed 19 complaints altogether during the programme. Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar, Secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

In connection with killing of Ashish Kumar, the 18 year old son of Asha Devi, the CM was informed that despite knowing names of the suspects, Dhanbad police had not taken adequate action in the case to nab the killers. On this, the CM directed the SP to crack the murder mystery in a week or suspend the officer-in-charge.

Regarding alleged scam of development funds by Babita Devi, Mukhiya of Tetron panchayat, the CM directed the authorities concerned to lodge an FIR against the accused mukhiya. He said the involvement of Mukhiyas in such cases is unfortunate. He directed his secretary to issue a notice to all the DCs that if Mukhiyas are found guilty in any scam or irregularity, they should immediately remove them from their offices.

Regarding non-disbursal of loan of Rs. 3 lakh for starting an oil mill even after depositing security money of Rs. 15,000 (as the BOI Nala manager reportedly demanded Rs. 30,000 as bribe), the CM ordered the bank officials concerned to suspend the branch manager and ensure loan to Jagdish Mahto. The CM also said that oil mills will be opened in villages.

Das directed the Giridih DC to inspect spots for digging wells and report in a week. He said that if people are getting benefit of it then payment should be made against it. The RDD Principal Secretary said that despite ban on digging wells on govt. land, it has been done. The well digging work was completed in 2011 and 15 workers were not paid. The Lok Adalat ordered to disburse the pending funds in 3 days.

The CM directed the Garhwa DC to take action on engineer and contractor for making a hostel at Chinia block with cracked roof. The project cost Rs. 1.5 cr. He said that he will look into the matter. Regarding sacking of 22 khadi workers in 2012 after CBI inspection, the CM said that he will talk with the Center.

Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar said that 76% complaints with the Jan Samvad have been satisfactorily sorted out.
