Jamshedpur: The shopowners of Sidhgora market affected by recent fire mishap were given compensation by East Singhbhum district administration on Thursday. The compensation was provided to the victims within 48 hours of the mishap.
A delegation of BJP leaders led by Jamshedpur Mahanagar president Dinesh Kumar and ADC Saurav Sinha reached Sidhgora market and handed cheques of compensation to the victim shopowners.
The BJP president said the party was sensitive to the problems of shopowners. Helping the shopowners in the time of need is the top priority of the party, he said.
Also present on the occasion, Pawan Agrawal, representative of Chief Minister Raghubar Das, said the CM had directed the district administration to immediately release compensation for the victims of fire mishap. The prompt action taken by the administration is praiseworthy, he said.
Among others present on the occasion included Sanjeev Kumar, Rambabu Tiwary, Khemlal Choudhary, Arun Tiwary, Haldhar Narayan Singh, Amarjeet Singh Raja and Circle Officer Anurag Tiwary.
In view of an announcement made by the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar, the district administration organized a camp for issuing Mudra loans to the shopownes whose shops were burnt in the mishap. LDM Falguni Rai said the loans will soon be approved.
