BJP Leader Demands Probe into Sidgora’s “Abusive Sub-Inspector”

Jamshedpur: A new CCTV video featuring Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar, stationed at Sidgora Police Station, has gone viral, sparking fresh controversy over police indiscipline. In the footage, the uniformed officer is allegedly seen using highly abusive language toward citizens, raising serious questions about the professional conduct of the local police force.

BJP Leader Takes the Matter to Social Media

BJP leader Ankit Anand brought the incident to light by posting the video on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). Tagging Jamshedpur’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the State DGP, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and the National Commission for Women, Anand demanded an impartial high-level investigation and strict disciplinary action against the officer.

Anand pointed out that this is not an isolated incident. He claimed that multiple videos of the same officer have surfaced in the past, yet the department has consistently shielded him instead of taking corrective measures.

A Blow to Public Trust

The BJP leader condemned the officer’s behavior as “highly reprehensible,” stating that the use of unparliamentary language while in uniform taints the image of the entire police department.

“If strict action is not taken this time, it will raise a major question mark over the credibility of our policing system,” Anand warned. “Such repeated incidents do not just tarnish the police’s image; they weaken the common man’s trust in the law.”

As the video continues to circulate, residents of Sidgora and Jamshedpur are calling for accountability, hoping the police administration will finally address the recurring complaints against the official.
