Jamshedpur, Oct 1: Players showed their skills on the concluding day as 3-day District Open table Tennis Tournament came to close on September 29 at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
In the junior boys category- Hardik Narang (Trg. Ctr.) was declared the champion while Vaibhav Sharma (Trg. Ctr.) was the runners up. In women�s event- Shruti Mahanand (Trg. Ctr.) was the winner and Shreya Kirti (Trg. Ctr.) came second.
In Men�s Hardik Narang (Trg. Ctr.) was the winners while Vaibhav Sharma (Trg. Ctr.) was declared the runners up. On the final day of the championship Kartik S, SP, East Singhbhum was the chief Guest along with him G. M. Sharan, President East Singhbhum District TT Association and Hasan Imam were also present.
From the event players were selected to represent East Singhbhum District team in forthcoming Jharkhand Inter District & State Championship to be organised by GARWA District from 16th � 19th Oct�2014 in Team Championship & different age group events.
The selected players include in the boys & men�s category- Satwik Saurav, Utkarsh Mehta,Krishna Despande, Hardik Narang, Utkarsh Gupta, P Aditya, Vinayak Sharma, Avinav Raj Singh, Abhijeet Mahto, Vaibhav Sharma, Dinesh Rakshit, Pravesh Narang and Pawanpreet Singh.
In the girls & women category Hansika Rai, Disha Narang, B Rakshita, Chandni, Sulvi Shradha, Ishika Gupta, Shruti Mahanand, Minali Gupta, Awantika Rai, Saadia Sheikh and Rinki.
