Gamharia, Sept 29: Labour Inspector Rakesh Kumar Sinha today flagged off the �Shram Shakti Abhiyaan� vehicle from the Gamharia Block. Sinha said that this drive had been initiated by Chief Minister Raghubar Das from the Adityapur Football Maidan. The labour Department has started a drive to enroll register labourers in the entire district on September 25 and it will continue till October 2. All the Blocks in the district will be covered by this �Shram Shakti Abhiyaan� van and spread awareness on the need for workers to get themselves registered. The Labour Inspector stated that the awareness campaign for labour registration would be especially intense in the industrial areas.
Workers engaged in construction business and those employed in unorganized sectors would be benefitted through registration. The benefits include PM Suraksha Bima and transfer of compensation amount to the bank account of family members in case of death due to accident.
Others present at the time of flagging off of the van were Labour Law Enforcement Officer Satyendra Singh, Nidhi Mahto and others.
