Jamshedpur, Jan 8: Zimmedaar Nagrik, Zimmedaar Shaher Campaign is growing from strength to strength.
With each passing day more and more participation from the citizens and with a zeal to see Jamshedpur clean, green and beautiful residents are leaving no stone unturned.
Recently the Jute Bag has been making quite an impact in the city especially as seen during the Annual Flower Show, and now the Shram Daans are taking the city by storm.
After the Shram Daan in Jubilee Park, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City has joined JUSCO as Zimmedaar Nagriks to make Jamshedpur a Zimmedaar Shaher and have adopted the area around Carmel Junior College for its upkeep and cleanliness.
On 8th January, 2014, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City President for 2013-14- Rotarian Dr.Indrajeet Ghosh, Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, GM- JTS, addressed the schoolchildren in their morning assembly and emphasized the significance of involving the students of Carmel in this initiative.
This was followed by a Shram daan by students, teachers and Principal of Carmel Junior College, JUSCO officials of the Public Health Dept and Corporate Communications, JUSCO, along with Rotarians of Steel City.
Regular maintenance and upkeep of the area for the future will be carried out by Rotary Club under the supervision of JUSCO.
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City is the first NGO to join hands with JUSCO for their Civic Awareness campaign.
