Jamshedpur, Oct 19: The shooting of ‘Mukti,’ a short film being produced under the banner of VPRA Entertainment and directed by Deepak Dev was wrapped up. The weeklong shooting schedule included locales at Bada Kankra, Saraikela, Sidgora, Mango, Sashtrinagar, Kadma, Sakchi and other places. The short film Mukti is inspired by a short story by American author Washington Irving, the 19th century prolific essayist, short story writer and diplomat. ‘Mukti’ makes a socio-philosophical comment on the many ’why’s’ of ever changing social concepts. Deepak Dev, a Kitadih resident settled in Mumbai has written the screenplay and directed the vehicle. His critically acclaimed work in the short film genre include
Kannaki, Comet and Gandhari that have garnered more than 60 lakh viewers on Hungama, MX Player and YouTube. The lead roles in the short film ‘Mukti’ are played by Sanjay Dutta and Pragya Singh, Kanhaiya Lal, Jyoti Mishra, Nikhil Dubey, Bablu Raj, Ashish Kumar, Sharandeep Singh Bhui, Tarun Kumar, Sushil Kumar Mahato, Siddharth Singh, Ayush, Deepak, Amit Kumar Singh and others. The cinematographers Prakash Kesari and Akash Shom have worked alongside Art Director Deepak Kumar, Production Manager Ashish Kumar, Production Head Prateek Chaurasia, Production Controller Kunal Dey, Line Producer Ankur Kant, Sharandeep Singh. The production unit also includes Avinash Kumar, Anil Yadav, Neeraj and others.
Production DI and Special effects will be by Kunal Dey ‘Mukti’ will be released on OTT platform from Mumbai shortly.
