Jharkhand govt will bear educational expenses of poor children : Hemant Soren

Ranchi, Oct 19: Chief minister Hemant Soren continued his inspection of the Apki Yojana, Apki Sarkar- Apke Dwar programs being held in different panchayats at all 24 districts.

On Wednesday, Hemant Soren attended the campaign at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chatra district.

“Take benefit of the schemes which have been designed in view of the needs of rural populace and become a part of the state’s development.  The state government is working round the clock to solve your problems, pains and discomfort,” said Soren.

“The applications reaching these camps are being reviewed in the online portal at the state headquarters while senior bureaucrats have also been specially instructed to inspect the camps,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that farmers and labourers no longer need to worry about the education of their children.

“Through schemes and scholarship government will take care of the educational expenses of your children we would like you to be concerned only with your work. We want to end migration of farmers and labourers,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that this time due to less rainfall, there is a drought-like situation in many areas of the state. But, the government has taken all measures to deal with the drought.

“Several employment-oriented schemes are being run for the villagers. Instructions have been given to the officials to stop the migration of farmers and laborers. For farmers in Jharkhand livestock is like an ATM. Keeping this in mind, the government has started Chief Minister Pashudhan Yojana. Under this scheme, along with the cattle, the amount is being given to the cattle owners for cattle shed, so that their income can be increased,” said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that for the first time after the formation of a separate state, the government has started the process of providing jobs to a large of youths by making appointment and service rules.

Soren also announced that a new building of Chatra District Collectorate would be constructed soon.

The ITI established in Chatra district will also start studies from the next session.

In all those areas where land has been acquired or is being or is to be acquired for mining work and in which the displaced villagers have not yet received compensation, in all those cases, compensation will be paid on the basis of the value fixed by the Government in the Land Acquisition Policy-2013.

The panchayats of Barkagaon assembly area, which have been included in Chatra Nagar Parishad, will be included in the panchayat again.

 On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 109 schemes costing over Rs 219.69 crore.
