Shobha Yatra marks Brahmananda Shastri’s birth anniv

Jamshedpur: Shobha Yatra was taken out from the Voltas building to Bharucha Mansion on Thursday evening as part of the birth anniversary celebration of Srimad Brahmananda Shastri (1928-2007). Devotees in large number headed by Monubindu Bhattacharya of Brahmolokdham were part of the procession.

Earlier, scholarships were distributed among meritorious students students, cake cutting ceremony, Mangalarti, religious events and cultural program were held during day 2 of the anniversary celebrations.

Organised by Brahmolokdham, the two day annual religious meet saw a number of events on both the days at Brahmolokdham at Airbase Colony in Kadma
The anniversary celebrations commenced with flag hoisting at 7 am on October 24.

The two day event witnessed prayers, devotional songs, cultural events, essay writing, kalash painting, mehendi and drawing contest and conch shell blowing competitions on the inaugural day. A blood donation camp was also conducted. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (Guru Prasad) will be provided to all devotees and guests on both days.

The two-day birth anniversary celebration christened- Spandan Syandane-2018, is an annual event which marks the birth anniversary of Srimad Brahmanand Shastri, who died in 2007.
