Jamshedpur: Â Shekhar Dey, eminent businessman and social activist, will helm The Milanee executive committee for the third consecutive tenure. The election for the executive committee was held at the Club on Sunday, September 26. Twenty candidates were in the poll fray out of whom the top 18 vote winners were elected to the body of executives. The detailed list of portfolio allocation was announced on Tuesday, September 28.
The team of executives announced for the session 2021-‘23 will be the first instance when women have found places in the committee of executives and they include Purabi Ghosh, Rumi Bagchi and Chaitali Sarkar.
The vice presidents were co-opted.
The list of The Milanee’s office bearers and executive committee members includes Shekhar Dey (president), Bhaskar Mitra, Swapan Kumar Adak, Swapan Kumar Majumdar, Animesh Kumar Sarkar, Sudipto Mukherjee and Pulak Kumar Sengupta (vice presidents), Dipankar ‘Raju’ Dutta (general secretary), Krishnendu Chatterjee (joint secretary), Gautam Kumar Acharya, Mihir Kumar Bhattacharjee, Arijit Sarkar and Probal Tarafdar (assistant secretaries), Gautam Kumar Guha (treasurer) and Gautam Dey (assistant treasurer). The executive committee members include Purabi Ghosh, Rumi Bagchi, Sapan Dutta, Bimal Roy, Ujjal Guha, Biswarup Mukherjee, Chaitali Sarkar, Pallab Roy, Ranjit Kumar Chatterjee, Prashanta Kumar Chowdhury, Gautam Kumar Bhowmick and Shoben Mukherjee.
