Shekhar De opens auditorium in memory of parents

Jamshedpur, Jan. 14: Social worker Shekhar De on Sunday inaugurated an auditorium at Sourav Bhawan in Pramatha Nagar, Parsudih. The auditorium has been built in memory of Shekhar De’s parents Kiranmayee De and Suresh Chandra De and has been named after famous Sarod player Allauddin Khan.

Addressing the gathering, Shekhar De, said, “I had the privilege to watch great Allauddin Khan Sahab play Sarod live as father Suresh Chandra De was very fond of music. Despite his tight business schedule he took time out for music forums and discussions were also held in our house regarding music and great personalities. At that time father Suresh Chandra De use to attend every musical event that happened in the city and it was my teenage juncture was I had the opportunity to watch the great heroes of our nation”.
