Several Jharkhand districts to experience rain during Holi

Jamshedpur, March 24: Currently dry weather is prevailing across Jharkhand with temperatures on the rise. Capital Ranchi witnessed a temperature surge of 10 degrees Celsius over the last two days.

With Holi celebrations approaching in Jharkhand on March 25 and 26, the India Meteorological Department’s Ranchi-based weather center forecasts varying conditions across the state. The maximum temperatures in Jharkhand are expected to range between 33 to 38 degrees Celsius on Monday, March 25, with minimum temperatures projected between 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Specifically for Ranchi, temperatures are anticipated to reach a maximum of 32 to 34 degrees Celsius, with minimum hovering between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. The weather center predicts the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several parts of Jharkhand on the day of Holi.

In Ranchi, the afternoon and evening may see partly cloudy conditions with chances of light rain and thunderstorms. Districts such as Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh, and Koderma are expected to experience the highest temperatures, ranging from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius, with minimum between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela Kharsawan are likely to see maximum temperatures between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius and minimum ranging from 19 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Fourteen districts, including Gumla, Lohardaga, Khunti, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Giridih, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahibganj, may witness maximum temperatures between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, with minimum around 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Ranchi has already experienced a temperature surge from 23.6 to 32.6 degrees Celsius, and further increases are anticipated. Dry weather is expected to prevail in the capital and surrounding districts until March 29, with chances of cloudy skies and light rain on the day of Holi.
