Jamshedpur, January 10: Meeting of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was held on Saturday, at the District Headquarters in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, to discuss preparations for Republic Day 2026 and other upcoming programmes. The meeting was attended by principals, headmasters, Scout teachers and Guide captains from registered schools across the district.
The meeting was chaired by District Secretary and Senior Scout Master Chandramani Modi, while District Organising Commissioner Naresh Kumar conducted the proceedings. Key issues discussed included arrangements for the Republic Day 2026 flag hoisting ceremony, district-level training camps, annual registration of schools, and the organisation of various Scout and Guide programmes for the year.
Special focus was given to the National Integration Camp and festival for Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls scheduled to be held next month at Gadpuri in Haryana. Adventure activities, including Dalma trekking and other camps, were also discussed. It was decided that a trekking and adventure camp would be organised in the last week of February.
During the meeting, Scout and Guide teams from seven schools were selected to represent their institutions in the district-level parade to be held at Gopal Maidan on Republic Day 2026. The selected schools include Adivasi Plus Two High School, Sitaramdera; Carmel Junior College, Jamshedpur; Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bistupur; DAV Public School, Bistupur; SS Plus Two School, Patamda; Adivasi High School, Kating; and DBMS BH Area.
It was also decided that all schools must re-register their Scout and Guide units with the district headquarters for the 2026–27 session. The dates for the selection of participants for the National Integration Camp will be announced after schools reopen.
