Jamshedpur: Sri Tatanagar Gaushala is all set to improve the services being rendered on its premises. The new management committee is mulling over plans to improve the quality of services after learning various aspects of running the Gaushala during a visit to West Bengal.

Gaushala sources said a five member team of Tatanagar Gaushala visited Sri Dharma Rakshani Gaushala in Purulia and Kolkata Pinjarpole Society Gaushala in Chakulia recently. The team members closely observed the process of distribution of food materials among cows and also learnt about latest methods of milking the cows.

The president of Chakulia Gaushala Purushottam Jhunjhunwala, who has over 40 years of serving the cows, gave useful tips to the team members who included Kailash Saraiwala, Mahesh Goel, Ramesh Singhania, Shailesh Golchha and Pradip Kabra.

In a new initiative, the Tatanagar Gaushala is going to use dungcakes in place of wood in burning dead bodies. For this purpose, the Gaushala management would provide dungcakes to Shiv Ghat Samiti crematorium in Jugsalai. An awareness programme would be launched to minimize the use of wood in cremating bodies.
