Jamshedpur, June 25: Namda Community Centre organized Summer Camp for the youth of the bustees from May 15, 2019 to June 07, 2019, under the able guidance of Bipul Kumar, Area Officer, Namda Community Centre. 300 students took active part in different sports. Students learnt the rules and skills of various games like Cricket, Football, Boxing, Karate, Dance and showcased their talents.
Sports play a significant role in the all-round development and also in shaping the personality of a child. It makes a person feel relaxed and also relieves one from stress. Trainers took special initiative to train up girls in sports which will help them in their future. Children utilized the morning hours of the first week of vacation in a constructive way. Not only sports but dance and drawing classes were also held during this camp.
In the closing ceremony, on June 25, 2019, a display case on Karate was held where the players participated with great enthusiasm. Dinesh Kumar, BJP District President, Jamshedpur graced the ceremony as a chief guest and gave a motivational speech to the children. Jiren Xavier Topno, Head, Tribal Culture, Urban Services, also thanked the teachers Sanjay Kumar, Football Coach, Upendra Tanti, Boxing Trainer, Ashok Mishra, Cricket Coach, Pradip Singh Saggu, Karate Coach, and Sumit Mukhi, Dance Teacher for their sincere endeavors. Birdhan Marandi, Area Officer, R D Bhatta Community Centre and all staff of Namda Community centre were present during the occasion.
