Series of events marks Amrit Mahotsav at Graduate School College for Women

Jamshedpur, Aug 6: The Graduate School College for Women organised series of events as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence.

Department of Physics, Botany and Chemistry of the college organised dance, songs and speech competition in the seminar hall on Saturday, August 6.

Students energetically presented dances, songs and speeches on the occasion.

Welcome speech was given by Pratima Sinha, HOD, Physics. Theme Speech was given by Doris Das, HOD, Botany.

Speech by Dr. Banashree Dey, Asst. Professor, Chemistry was followed by speech of students of Department of Botany and Physics namely Sweety Pal, Sweta Kumari, Bulbul and Robita.

Solo Dance was performed by Vaishali Singh of Department of Chemistry staged solo dance.

Patriotic group song was presented by the students of department of Physics, Chemistry and Botany.

Solo patriotic song was sung by Anindita Dutta of the Department of Physics.

Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by Principal of the college Dr. Mukul Khandelwal.

Vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Banashree Dey, Asst. Professor, Chemistry.

The programme was also graced by the presence of other faculty members of the college Dr. Sunita Bankira, Anamika Kumar, Dr. Bharti Kumari, Dr. Namrata Kumari, and Dr. Purva Dubey.
