Jamshedpur, Sept. 15: As per CBSE guidelines S.D.S.M. School for Excellence had organized a cleanliness drive for Swachh Bharat i.e. Swachhta Pakhwara from 1st Sept. to 15th Sep. 2017. The school undertook various participatory activities during the fortnight.
On the first day of the programme on September 1, an oath taking ceremony, Swachhta Shapat was organised. The Pledge was administered by Principal Moushumi Das.
The school organised awareness programme for parents and students. In the open forum of Std I to XII a powerpoint presentation was shown to the parents on �Importance of Cleanliness & Sanitation among Children�.
Drawing competition was scheduled for the parents of Nursery � UKG on the same day. The school had also conducted an essay competition for students of Std. IX to XII where around 150 students participated in this competition.
Two different activities for different classes were conducted for students of Std.VI & VII, a quiz was organized in the school auditorium. On the other side painting competition was also held for students of class III to V.
A debate on swachhta was organized for Std. XI & XII where the topic was �Swachhta Abhiyan started by our Prime Minister�. To propagate the theme of Pakhwara among the citizen of nearby area, a Swachhta Rally was organized on 9th September. Various placards related to Swachhta were made with slogans by the students under the guidance of teachers.
A Seminar on Savlon Swasth India was conducted for students of class I to VI in which useful information about personal cleanliness and hygiene was given. A short movie was also shown to make them aware how to keep themselves free from germs.
Painting competition for the teachers based on the theme Swachh Bharat was organized and all teachers enthusiastically participated in this competition.
