Series of events mark Sports Day at JUSCO School South Park

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: JUSCO School South Park organised 20th Annual Sports Day for the Junior School. Held in the school premises, the event saw over 1000 students, along with teachers and parents, participating in a day of exciting competitions and spirited activities.

Vibhuti Adesara, Head of Events & Training Centres at Tata Steel, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. In her address, she praised the students for their growing awareness of health and fitness, noting the increasing opportunities available in the sports arena. Firoz Khan, the Guest of Honour, also attended the event, while School Principal Mili Sinha welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of physical education in fostering holistic growth.

The event began with a welcome address by the school Presidents and Captains, followed by the release of colorful balloons by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Principal.

The day featured a range of fun races tailored for junior students, such as the frog race, balancing the book, and the spoon and lemon race. The younger students impressed the audience with their drills, including a performance by Classes I and II based on the theme of the 2024 Olympics, and a depiction of the ICC T20 World Cup by the Nursery, LKG, and UKG students. Students of Classes III and IV performed an aerobics routine with the motto “Don’t Quit, Stay Fit,” while the yoga champions of JSSP showcased yogic postures in harmony with rhythmic beats.

Parents also participated in the event, joining in specially organized races.

Principal Mili Sinha expressed pride in the students’ performances and extended gratitude to the staff and parents for their continuous support in making the event a success.
